It's super chill and quiet (unless there are lots of parties), the little bowling balls are easy to throw and the food is AMAZING. Only thing is that the lanes trip up sometimes when the pins decide not to come back, but they're really good about fixing it right away. :)
I've bowled at Bonnie Doon lanes for over 40 years. It's fun, reasonably priced, the lanes and equipment are in excellent condition and they actually have good coffee. They have leagues for every age and ability and it's a nice, wholesome way to spend a couple of hours of exercise for less than $20. Pop by, have some fun and cheer out loud when you get a strike!
I remember going to Bonnie Doon bowl as a young child to watch my mom bowl in league back in the 70's. I still love this place and my daughter Chloe is carrying on her grandma's bowling skills.
Used to bowl here many times in the 90s with intercity rep tourneys, got a 388 one time, went back first time in a long time and I see not much has changed, nice automatic scoring, with most places now, I grew up on everyone writing scores down, but it was a fun time bowling at bonnie doon! :)
